Your version will be upgraded for latest one. If you are unable to find any update link in your “Start” menu then you may need to re-install it.
Update via iTunes Windows, First of all open your software then click on the “Help” menu, then select “Check for Updates“. IF any update for your iTunes s/w is available, the “Apple Software Update” window will appear on your computer screen. By default check box selected, if it isn’t selected then you have to select it. If you also have other Apple software such as GarageBand, iMovies or any other you will see updates for those as well if your s/w versions is not latest one. But you can deselect others if you don’t want at that time. Now click on the “Install” button, the iTunes update will start on your computer. This update may take some time depending on your Internet speed and size of the update version, so don’t panic.
For update iTunes on Mac operating system, Launch your current iTunes application. Then click on “Apple” menu and select “System Preferences” and select “Software Update” from view menu and click on “Update Now” option. A update window will open on your computer, choose iTunes from there and unchecked other apple programs that you don’t want to update, now simply press the “Install” button. Login via your username and password, after the update is finished restart your computer.
